Ashtanga Yoga

This dynamic, physically demanding practice was founded by K. Pattabhi Jois.

Astanga Yoga synchronize breath and movement to produce an internal heat that purify your body.

With its many vinyasas, is great for building core strength and toning your body.

Asthanga Yoga is one of the most popular branches of Hatha Yoga, and was introduced in the West by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois in 1975. The style preferred by people who like highly structured and challenging practice. It consists in making specific sequences of the Ashtanga Yoga postures, in a continuous, fluid and consistent way.

In the Mysore style, each student moves in practice at their own level and rhythm. Thus, throughout an Ashtanga class, the instructor will supervise the sequences until you can practice your solo.

The Ashtanga brings great benefits to the practitioner by increasing the concentration and perception in the body, increase the fluidity of movement and improve the sense of rhythm. It also works very well to relieve stress or burn fat. Of course, it also tones and strengthens muscles, increases lung capacity as well as flexibility, balance, ...

Ashtanga Yoga is usually recommended for those who prefer fast pace and a more rigorous style of yogic practice, where the fluid of the postures is definitely more challenging than in a regular yoga practice.

If it is the first time you are doing yoga and you have not been physically active for some time, Ashtanga may not be the right style for you. To begin with, it is better to have other softer styles such as Hatha Yoga.

Are you ready to sweat as you briskly move through a powerful sequence?
